Senior students from the Department of Logistics Management at Izmir University of Economics (IUE) Faculty of Business shed light on logistics problems with the projects they developed as part of the 17th annual ‘University-Industry Collaboration’ event. 

Izmir University of Economics (IUE) Faculty of Business brought together 90 students from 18 high schools in its first-ever digital marketing event called ‘Brand Craft’.

Hüseyin Sabuncu, Özkan Öztürk, and Nazım Berktuğ Aşer, students from Izmir University of Economics (IUE) Department of Logistics Management, came in second place in the 21^st Interuniversity Logistics Case Competition held this year. 

The Izmir University of Economics (IUE) Logistics Club organized a technical trip to Ulusoy Çeşme Ro-Ro Port with the participation of their advisor, Assoc. Prof. Aysu GÖÇER. IUE Logistics Club members and Logistics Management Department students visited the M/V ULUSOY 16 Ro-Ro ship belonging to Ulusoy Denizyolları İşletmeciliği. They got to check out the equipment used in the port and on board, learn how the port works, and pick up some technical info about the port from some experienced employees. They also got to learn all about intermodal transportation, which is the new favorite way to move cargo by sea. 

Making a difference with her successful work in the international arena, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aysu Göçer, Lecturer at Department of Logistics Management, Izmir University of Economics (IUE), was selected as a ‘guest researcher’ to the world-renown Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden. 

The education scholarship given on behalf of the late Doğan Turhan, the philanthropist from Izmir, the founder of one of Turkey's largest transportation companies, made the dreams of 78 young people come true in 8 years. 

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Işık Özge Yumurtacı Hüseyinoğlu from Izmir University of Economics (IUE) Department of Logistics Management and her 3 students have developed a project that will guide companies that want to create a less costly and environmentally friendly supply chain.

The 'intelligent decision support system' named LTLZone, which was developed by a team of 3 people at Izmir University of Economics (IUE), with the aim of enabling logistics companies to provide better quality service at low cost, received a double award.
