IUE Logistics Club organized a Technical Trip to Ulusoy Çeşme Ro-Ro Port
The Izmir University of Economics (IUE) Logistics Club organized a technical trip to Ulusoy Çeşme Ro-Ro Port with the participation of their advisor, Assoc. Prof. Aysu GÖÇER. IUE Logistics Club members and Logistics Management Department students visited the M/V ULUSOY 16 Ro-Ro ship belonging to Ulusoy Denizyolları İşletmeciliği. They got to check out the equipment used in the port and on board, learn how the port works, and pick up some technical info about the port from some experienced employees. They also got to learn all about intermodal transportation, which is the new favorite way to move cargo by sea.
During the technical trip, Ulusoy Çeşme Port officials gave a detailed presentation in the port meeting hall and then showed us around the port. After the port presentation and all the info, the authorities showed the inside of the Ro-Ro ship in detail. Finally, the students met with the 2nd and 4th Captains of the M/V ULUSOY 16 Ro-Ro ship in the captain's cabin of the ship. The students experienced about the workflow of the maritime transportation.
