Course Objectives This course aims to provide information about supply chain information systems, with a specific focus on ERP systems. This course does not only focus on enterprise wide IT systems, but also includes information systems utilized in supply chains and the logistics operations in general. The relevant management aspects in supply chains are also reviewed.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • analyse structured data,
  • evaluate the use of structured data in databases
  • evaluate supply chain information systems.
  • evaluate importance of ERP systems.
  • analyse main logistics processes through ERP tools
  • demonstrate their skills on managing logistics processes
  • identify problems in ERP systems and taking necessary actions.
Course Description It’s to be a basis for all students who will work in either logistics, engineering, IT, HR or other branches in today’s professional life and should know; how supply chain information systems is applied in management, how organizational needs match with ERP system needs, how supply chain management is integrated with information technologies, how business strategies cope with ERP system strategies, how risks are analyzed, minimized and managed, how IT or informational processes are aligned with business processes, how professionals should encounter & cope with all aspects of information systems.
